Lisa Marie Labig, 48, Kokomo, formerly of the Dunkirk, Hartford City, and Redkey area, passed away at 8 a.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, while in the company of family members at Community Howard Regional Health. Lisa was born in Hartford City on Jan. 1, 1965, a daughter of Patricia “Peaches” (Zeigler), and Robert Kaufman, Hartford City.
She was a member of and very active in Indiana Patriot Guard and Crown City Cruisers.
She was the wife of Marion “Bud” A. Labig, who survives.
Lisa is survived by a daughter, Brittney Leigh, wife of Geoffery Moore, Berne; a son, Ryan Lee, husband of Megan Ray, Hartford City; and two stepdaughters, Kierstyn Y. Labig, Houston, Texas, and Kailey E. Labig, Houston, Texas. Lisa is also survived by two brothers, Rob Kaufman, wife Tami, Portland, Shannon D. Kaufman, Hartford City; three uncles, Richard “Sonny” Kaufman, wife Sandy, Dunkirk, Dewayne Kaufman, wife Marlene, Portland, Bob Zeigler, wife Linda, Las Vegas, Nev.; one aunt, Linda, wife of BK Gregory, Muncie; mother-in-Law, Loretta Bailey, Florida; sister-in-Law, Karen Kromenacker, wife of Sandy, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Aryanna B. Ray, and Brenton T. Ray, both of Hartford City, Presleigh M. Moore, Berne, Aleigha B. Greene, Houston, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at MJS Mortuaries-Dunkirk Chapel, Dunkirk, with funeral services directly following at 6 p.m. Pastor Jeff Russell and Pastor Randy Davis will officiate.
