Robert Sherman Perry Jr., 62, Kokomo, passed away at 7:23 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born Nov. 16, 1950, in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., he is the son of the late Robert Sherman Perry Sr. and Betty L. (Millican) Perry.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. On Sept. 21, 1984, in Kokomo, he married Julia Elizabeth “Judy” (Wyant), and she survives. He was employed at the Kokomo Humane Society and had various other jobs. He enjoyed fishing, Colts football and watching horror movies.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Elizabeth “Judy” Perry, Kokomo; one son, Robert Sherman Perry III, Kokomo; one daughter, Ivy Dawn (James) Horne, Kokomo; two brothers, David A. Perry Sr., Lilburn, Ga., and Mike Dale Perry, Kokomo; two grandchildren, Jimmie Horne and Ezra Horne; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Barry Roger Perry and Douglas J. Perry.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Parkview Mennonite Church, 1382 E. 100 North. Pastor Frank Kandel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
