Teresa Marie Graves

Teresa Marie Graves, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo. Born Aug. 23, 1955, in Merced, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Henry Haas and Mary (Withrow) Haas.

She was a 1973 graduate of Haworth High School. On Aug. 21, 2012, in Kokomo, she married Larry Graves, and he survives. She graduated from IUK with a BA in general education in 2012. She was working on her master’s degree at the time of her death. She worked at Bona Vista Rehab Programs from 1991 to 2005. She also worked at Downey Insurance and summer programs at Chrysler. Her hobbies were Special Olympics, and she loved to volunteer. She was interested in and watched criminal justice programs such as “NCIS” and “Law and Order.” Teresa was a very caring and loving person who had a big heart. In her lifetime, she had been to Guam and would have liked to have traveled to Las Vegas, Hawaii and Disney World. She also loved her pets, Max and Sparky.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Graves, Kokomo; three daughters, Mary Keller and Ellen Graves, Kokomo, and Sara Graves, Whitestown; one sister, Frances (Dan) Elkins, Twelve Mile; one nephew, Jason (Ronda) Renner, Indianapolis; six grandchildren, two great-nephews, and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Buck; one great-nephew, Cody Renner; her stepfather, Tom Bourff; her mother, Mary Bourff; and her father, Henry Haas.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Pastor Steve Allen will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion.
