---- — Joyce Inez Jameson, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 11:09 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at her residence following a battle with cancer. Born Oct. 2, 1940, in Maynardville, Tenn., she is the daughter of the late Glenn Hurst and Lottie (Edmundson) Hurst. She was a 1957 graduate of Kokomo High School then attended Indiana Business College. On Nov. 15, 1958, in Kokomo, she married Roy Lee Jameson, and he survives. She enjoyed and was currently working as Human Resources Administrator for Kokomo Grain for the past 39 years. She was more than just a co-worker, she was a mentor, the go-to girl, and mom to the Kokomo Grain family. She enjoyed her flower gardens, watching NASCAR, and fishing. She participated in the Alzheimer’s Walk and collected Thomas Kinkade art. Her family was her priority and she enjoyed spoiling them every chance she had. Her four grandchildren and great-grandson brought her much joy.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years Roy Lee Jameson, Kokomo; three daughters Trish (Brad) Walker, Amboy, Judy (Rick) Davis, Okeechobee, Fla., Janet Williamson and fiance, Rick Pletcher, Tipton; one brother, Roy Hurst, Kokomo; grandchildren, Ashley (Jared) Otto, Converse, Ben (Candace) Williamson, Kokomo, Nick (Terra) Walker, Amboy, and Jake Williamson, Tipton; her grand animals of Okeechobee, Fla.; and one great-grandson, Cooper Otto, Converse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Errol Hurst and Ernie Hurst.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Kevin Carr will officiate. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Community Howard Regional Oncology Department, c/o Community Howard Regional Foundation, American Heart Association, or to the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the mortuary.
