Marjorie Foust Bartholomew

July 1, 1920 – May 12, 2013

Marjorie Mae Foust Bartholomew, 92, went home to her reward on Sunday, May 12, 2013, in North Canton, Ohio.

She was born July 1, 1920, in Kokomo. Marjorie married J.D. Foust, a successful business owner and entrepreneur in Kokomo, on Oct. 30, 1943, at Lowry Field, Colo. They later made their home in Kokomo, where both she and J.D. had been born. They raised their family in Kokomo until his death in January 1966.

In 1971, Marjorie married “the boy next door”, her brother’s best friend from childhood, Paul Bartholomew, and lived in Kalamazoo, Mich. After Paul’s death in 1999, she moved to The Waterford, in North Canton. She spent her last year, exceptionally happy, in the beautiful Colonies at Windsor in North Canton, making many new friends on the staff and with other residents.

Marjorie’s faith in God was unwavering throughout her life. She attended First Friends Church in Canton.

Having survived the deaths of her father and mother, her sister, Helen, her brothers, Oliver, Charles and Don, as well as both J.D. and Paul, she persevered through various physical trials and proved herself a fighter and a very strong woman. Marjorie was a diligent administrative assistant, a dedicated volunteer and teacher at her churches through the years, a faithful friend, a loving wife, a precious grandmother and an exceptional mother!

While she will be deeply missed by her family, they are all confident she is rejoicing in Heaven with those that went before her, knowing the day will come when we all will be together again, in our Savior’s arms!

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Foust, of Canton, Ohio, whose husband Dan Cook, passed away in 2003; her son, Jim Foust, his wife, Susan; and grandson, Brian Foust, of North Canton, Ohio; granddaughter, Christine Foust Dawe, her husband, Jonathan Dawe of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Kathryn Foust of North Canton and Barahona, Dominican Republic; brother, Paul Bowman, his wife, Louise, of Las Vegas; and their children Marc, Donna, Heather and Nicole. Additionally, Marjorie is survived by her stepdaughter, Judy Dahlin in Minnesota and her

grandchildren, Nicole Gagnon Newton, Camille Gagnon and Jeff Gagnon.
