Mary Jane Lybrook, 85, Russiaville, passed away at 8:19 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born on Nov. 8, 1927, in Frankfort, to Charles and Elizabeth (Leslie) Frantz. On Feb. 14, 1948, she married Donald K. Lybrook, who preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2011.
Mary Jane was a graduate of Rossville High School in 1946. She worked as an operator for the phone company. She retired from Sears after 20 years of employment. Mary Jane was an amateur radio operator whose call sign was WA9DPO. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church in Russiaville. Mary Jane was a member of the Eastern Star in Russiaville and past worthy matron. She enjoyed her many activities with her church family at Main Street. She dearly loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Gilbert (Carole), Texas, Loretta (Tim) Carter, Darlington, S.C., Teresa (Don) Vandercook, Kokomo, Kevin Lybrook, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Lori (Chad) McCullough, Tara (Jeff) Wills, Don (Christina) Russell, Sara (Jimmy) Williams, Don Vanderook, Cristeen Shepard, Jesi (Kevin) Miller, Michael (Michelle) Lybrook, Jennifer Lybrook, Amanda Lybrook; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin (Ruby) Frantz; one sister, Vivian (Malcolm) Miller; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Frantz; husband, Donald Lybrook; and brother, Eugene Frantz.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Steve Bishop officiating services. Burial will follow at New London Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
