Mrs. Audrey Lou Davis, 84, Crawfordsville, went to see her Lord at 11:38 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, in the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Montgomery County, to Leland Guy and Alberta Faye (Harshbarger) Shelton. On Nov. 26, 1950, in Crawfordsville, she married Daniel Gene Davis. He survives.
Mrs. Davis was an active member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 1955. She was a 1947 graduate of Wingate High School and she helped deliver “Meals on Wheels.”
She is survived by her husband; son, Daniel Ray (Lorraine) Davis, Kokomo; her daughters, Pamela Kay (Lindsey) Abney, Crawfordsville, and Stacey Lu Ann (Charlie) Graham, Veedersburg; sisters, Ruby Harrison, Crawfordsville, Beverly (Charlie) Bruton, Crawfordsville, and Patricia Neely, Florida; brother, Walter “Sonny” (Sue) Shelton, Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Brad Abney, Crawfordsville, Matt (Tami) Abney, Crawfordsville, Heather (Kevin) Lynch, Kokomo, Christine Fernandez, Crawfordsville, and Addison Graham, Veedersburg; and 11 great-grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ocie Harrison; and grandsons, Jeremy Abney and Rodney Terry.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Rev. Michael Bristol officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill South Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
