Peggy A. Lowe

April 29, 1936 - May 1, 2013

Peggy A. Lowe 77, Russiaville, passed away at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born April 29, 1936, in Marion, to Harold Dean and Leona Marie (Ward) Myers and was raised by her father and Esther (Smalley) Myers after the death of her mother. On Sept. 28, 1956, she married Russell Edward Lowe. He passed away Dec. 14, 2006.

Peggy was a 1954 graduate of Peru High School. She was a former member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Peggy loved the sport of bowling. She was a past officer and member of the Wildcat, the First Nighters and the Hard Times bowling leagues. Peggy served several terms on the Kokomo Women’s Bowling Association Board of Directors and is a member of the KWBA Hall of Fame. In addition to her love of bowling, Peggy also enjoyed cross stitching and loved camping with her family and many friends at Norway Camp Grounds, Monticello. Peggy was a very devoted wife and mother and loved her family dearly. She loved attending her grandchildren’s many sporting events and activities.

Survivors include children, Delbert L. (Patti) Lowe, Greentown, and Rhonda M. (Kenny) Ballee, Peru; grandchildren, Lindsey (Adam) Powell, Leyna (Jason) Washburn, Chad (Sara Wlasiuk) Ballee, Emily Ballee, Zackary Lowe, Zoie Lowe, Kyle (Amber) Honeas, J.R. (Jenna) Honeas and Brady Honeas; great-grandchildren, Haley Washburn, Chase Washburn, Grayson Powell, Ayden Honeas, Adelyn Honeas and Rowan Honeas; sister, Alice Luckenbill, Denver, Ind.; brother, Bill (Stella) Myers, Wabash; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charles and Rosie Catron, Gary and Cyndy Trent, and Cara Herron.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, with Steve Cole officiating services. Burial will follow in Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
