Pauline June Wahab, 85, Peru, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, in Peru. She was born in Peru June 24, 1928, to the late Ernest and Mauna Fay Shultz. She was married in 1946 in Peru to Samuel Russo, who preceded her in death. She was married Dec. 18, 1982, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., to Samir Wahab, who survives.
She was a graduate of Mexico High School and received apartment complex manager training and retail clothing buyer training.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Frank Russo, Peru, and Carmen Russo Rinehart and husband David, Alpha, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Penny Russo, Peru; six grandchildren, Brandon Hyde, Roan Mountain, Tenn., Craig Russo, Bunker Hill, Brian Russo, Benicia, Calif., Bekah McKinley, Kokomo, Adam Rinehart, Tipton, and Haley McCord, Kokomo; 16 great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Tony Shultz and Don Shultz; and four sisters, Penny Stapleton, Karla Wolfe, Sarah Mikesell and Margaret Sixby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel John Russo; son, Daniel Joseph Russo; grandchild, Nathan Russo; great-grandchild, Lane Russo; two sisters, Alma Sease and Lois DeFord; and three brothers, George Shultz, Ed Shultz and Marion Shultz.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Independent Christian Fellowship Church, 120 W. 10th St., Peru, with her stepgrandson, the Rev. Adam Rinehart, officiating.
