Nancy Crockett

— Nancy “Nanny” Crockett, 70, Richland, Wash., passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. She was surrounded by her family throughout her courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was the oldest of four children born to Bill and Donna Walker in Kokomo. She married the love of her life, Jim Crockett, on Aug. 22, 1958, and raised four children.

In 1979, they all moved from Kokomo to Richland, Wash. She was a homemaker whose number one priority was her family. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, cooking, camping and football.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim Crockett; daughters, Peggy and Joe Frank, Vicki and Dan Kopp, and Sherri and Tom Gaines; son, Jim and Jenny Crockett; her father, Bill Walker; sisters, Marjorie Garretson, Marilyn Newell and Mary Pearson; sister-in-law, Judi Robison; brother-in-law, Rex Crockett; five nieces; four nephews; 13 grandchildren, Jen Rodes (Zeb), Joey and Marissa Frank, Frank Kyle, and Morgan Carleo, Kaylan Crockett, Allie Newkirk, Jenny Kopp, Emily Ellison, Natalie Guillette, Collin Gaines and Gretchen Creighton; and eight great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Walker, in 2012; nephews, Michael Merritt in 2012, and Rodney Newell in 2002; and great-nephew Wilson Gary Rhum in 2002.

Please join her family at their home for a celebration of her life from 2 to 4 p.m. today at 597 Tangelwood Dr., Richland, Wash.
