Thomas Anthony Ewing, 60, Kokomo, passed away at 2:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1953, in Kokomo, to Marianna Ewing. On Aug. 18, 1990, Thomas married Joyce Quillen, and she survives.
Thomas was a truck driver for the city of Kokomo. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a union member. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and was an avid of Notre Dame fan.
Survivors include wife, Joyce Ewing, Kokomo; sons, Thomas Anthony Ewing II, Kokomo, and Joe William (Crystal) Ewing, Kokomo; sisters, Patricia (Norman) Schmitt, Russiaville, and Janet (Joseph) Anderson, Kokomo; brother, Joe (Anita) Ewing, Kokomo; and seven grandchildren, Cameron, Kristain, Christain, Haley, Brooke, Jessie andThomas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marianna; and two brothers, William and Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be noon Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1229 N. Washington St., with Rev. Father Mike Mckinley officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park. Friends may call upon the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road.
