Ronald Lee Stout, 78, South Bend, passed away Monday morning, May 20, 2013, in his home. He was born Nov. 15, 1934, in Kokomo to the late Elmer Earl and Mary Loma (Hannah) Stout. He was united in marriage June 15, 1985, in Lydick to the former Floretta Dion Stout, who preceded him in death Aug. 29, 2010.
Mr. Stout was a longtime resident. He worked at River Bend Farms, a quarter horse farm, for ten years. He retired in 2000 from Raco after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Bowler’s Country Club and enjoyed playing golf with his wife.
Mr. Stout is survived by his son, Ronald L. Stout II, Texas; two stepdaughters, Janice (Larry) Lavine, Lexington, Ky., and Anne (Jim) Kimmerly, Lexington, Ky.; stepson, Steve R. (Cindy) Rajski, South Bend; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Marcel) Landuit, Granger, and Christine Cole, South Bend; and brother, Michael (Cathy) Stout, Arden, N.C.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
