Lawrence Dale Harris, 72, Sullivan, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013.
He was born in Fairbanks, Sept. 11, 1940, the son of Bryan Harris and Mary Ruth Parks Harris. On Nov. 28, 1964 He married Nona Hatfield, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Malcolm “Burl,” Bill, Ted and Athur Harris.
Lawrence was an Army veteran and worked at American Latex in Sullivan. He lived in Kokomo for 30 years and worked for Farm Bureau CO-OP.
Survivors include his wife, Nona Harris; two sons, Allen Harris (Sheila), Kokomo, and William Harris, Sullivan; one daughter, Laura Harris, Sullivan; two sisters, Chris LuBrano (Joseph), Knoxville, Tenn., Betty Welch, Robinson, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Gregory and Tina Harris.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home with the Rev. David Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Ridge Cemetery with military rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn, Hymera Legion Post and the Sullivan VFW Post. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
