Mary Lucille (Gingerich) Otto, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Howard County on Dec. 6, 1922, the daughter of Joas J. and Mattie (Hostetler) Gingerich. She married Henry J. Otto on Dec. 6, 1945, in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1992.
Mrs. Otto was a member of the Old Order Amish.
She is survived by three sons, Elmer Otto and wife Treva, Marvin Otto and wife Mary, all of Kokomo, and Omer Otto and wife Kathy, Greentown; one daughter, Diane Smith, Kokomo; one son-in-law, Harley Gingerich, Bloomfield, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Gingerich and wife Edna, Shipshewana; and one sister, Lydia Bontrager, Arlington, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents; one great-grandson; and one brother-in-law.
Funeral services are 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Elmer Otto residence, 4610 N. 600 East. Burial will follow in Christner Cemetery, Kokomo. Visitation for family and friends is 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday at the Elmer Otto residence.
