Alice Eileen Letterman, 85, Bloomington, formerly of Vincennes and Kokomo, passed away Friday morning, May 3, 2013, at Meadowood Retirement in Bloomington. She was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Sullivan County, the daughter of Everett and Marie (Hanley) Irvin.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Kokomo.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Kay (James) Cottingham, Seymour, and Beth Ann (Rodney) Hasler, Bloomington; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Brooke) Cottingham, Indianapolis, Kristy (Mike) Hedke, Madison Heights, Mich., Erin (William) Farley, Warrenton, Va., Ruana Morrison, Bloomington, Caleb (Abbie) Hasler, San Antonio, Texas, and Nathan (Kerry) Hasler-Brooks, Philadelphia, Pa.; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Letterman, on Oct. 26, 1988; and a brother, Lloyd Irvin.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at New Lebanon Methodist Church in New Lebanon, with Rod Hasler officiating. Friends and family may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the church until the hour of the service. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon. Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton is in charge of arrangements.
