Misty Lin Mohler, 50, Kokomo, passed away at 8:22 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She was born Dec. 7, 1962, in Elwood, to the surviving James Walter and Arletta Kay (Stevens) Mohler. Misty graduated from Haworth High School in 1981 and then started her first job working at Scotty’s Hamburgers. She worked her way up to manager before they closed their doors. She then went to work at Rally’s, where she became their business manager. Lastly, she worked for 16 years at Chrysler in the casting plant before becoming ill. Misty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and going to rummage sales.
Misty is survived by her sons, Christopher Henderson and Rhayn Ballard; a grandson, Chrishon; her parents, James and Kay Mohler; her siblings, James Walter Mohler II, Konny (Kenny) Lane, Mike (Debra) Mohler, Angela Thurston and Gary Winter II. Also surviving is the father of Misty’s son, Christopher; Walter Henderson, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Misty was preceded in death by her sister, Kandy (Mohler) Smith.
There will be a funeral service for Misty at 3 p.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, with Minister Garritt Stryker officiating. Misty’s friends and family are welcome to join for a time of visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service that same day, also at the mortuary. Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo, assisted the family with arrangements.
