Cynthia Ann Green, 57, passed away at 4:55 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Northwoods Village in Kokomo. She was born Oct. 12, 1955, in Kokomo, the daughter of Theodore and Wilma Maxine (Abresch) Jones.
She was a 1974 graduate of Kokomo High School, and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Purdue University. She then furthered her education again receiving a degree in nursing from Schoolcraft College of Nursing in Southfield, Mich. She worked at Sycamore Village and was the Director of Nursing at Extended Care in Delphi. Cynthia was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer who enjoyed life, music, poetry, crocheting, word search puzzles and karaoke.
She is survived by her son, Jason Glenn Canfield, Canton, Mich.; brother, Steven (Chodsieh) Jones, North Augusta, S.C.; sister, Melanie (Ron) Hunley, Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and daughter, Hannah Laura Canfield.
Private family services will be held at a later date with Pastor Bill Allison officiating. Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
