Virginia Dess (Miller) Lybrook, 89, Greentown, passed away at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Century Villa Healthcare in Greentown. She was born May 24, 1923, in Howard County, to William Waldo and Bess (McCann) Warnock. She married James William Miller in October 1941, and he preceded her in death July 14, 1963. She then married Joe Lybrook in April 1972, and he preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1973.
Virginia was a 1941 graduate of Greentown High School. Besides being a homemaker, she owned and operated Mode O Day Dress Shop and Boutique in Kokomo and sold Avon for many years.
Survivors include daughters, Linda (Darwin) Keyton, Muncie, and Annette (Joe) Grecu, Kokomo; son, Tom (Puna) Miller, Dunkirk, Md., daughter-in-law, Mary Miller, Kokomo; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shari (Joe) Bulger, Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and son, Dennis Miller.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 Main St., Greentown, with Pastor Bob McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
