---- — Roy Lee Criswell, 79, Kokomo, died at 11:44 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at his home. He was born June 27, 1934, in a log cabin in Wayne County, Ky., the son of Hobert and Mary (Bell) Criswell. On Sept. 19, 1953, he married Eula Livengood and she survives.
He retired in 1999 from Kokomo Carquest with 32 years of service. He was elected to the presidents club of Carquest for outstanding outdoor sales. He spent a total of 45 years in auto parts sales, some of those being in Frankfort. He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed camping. A man of many talents, he could often be found tinkering in his garage.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Jack L. Criswell and wife, Darlene; two granddaughters, Chastity Stroud, and husband, Jason, Galveston, and Jessica Shuck and husband, Cory, Kokomo; six great-grandchildren, Kael, Chloe, Bryant, Taylor, Jayden and Jaxyn; four brothers, Leonard Criswell and wife, Barbara, Frankfort, Kenneth Criswell and wife, Karen, Kokomo, Lendal Criswell and wife, Nancy, Denison, Texas, and Rex Criswell and wife, Susan, Denison, Texas; two sisters, Judy Cunningham and husband, Stephen, Kokomo, and Tresa Burke, Indianapolis; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor James Ball officiating assisted by Ken Rushing. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
