Christine M. Hankley, 65, Kokomo, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by her family. She was born June 11, 1947, in Elwood, the daughter of Allen R. and Mary Louise (Williams) Hankley.
She retired as a document control specialist from Delphi Automotive Systems in Kokomo, where she had worked for more than 25 years. Christine was a 1965 graduate of Three Rivers High School in Three Rivers, Mich. She was an active member of Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church, Kokomo, where she formerly served as the church treasurer. Christine enjoyed reading and was an avid cat lover.
Christine’s family includes her brother, Patrick (Rita) Hankley, Fishers; nephew, Justin (Katrina) Yeary; three nieces, Jennifer Hatzell, Emily (Andrew) Berger, and Sarah (Matt) Potasnik; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Harriet Michael; nephew, Jon Yeary.
A memorial service and celebration of Christine’s life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, Elwood, with Pastor Larry Richeson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
