Dorothy Joan Graves, 79, Kokomo, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Northwoods Village, Kokomo. Born Jan. 14, 1934, in Kokomo, she is the daughter of the late Lester Fisher and Edith (Hostetler) Fisher. On April 4, 1954, in Kokomo, she married David Graves. He preceded her in death June 6, 1998.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, ceramics and spending time with her family. She attended Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Patty (Ralph) Hatt, Kokomo, Rebecca Hunter, Kokomo, Marilyn (companion Donnie Bradfield) Irwin, Kokomo, Debra (companion Jewell Majors) Randolph, Kokomo, Betty (Mike) Clark, Columbus, Ga., and Dianna (Richard) Franks, Fortson, Ga.; two brothers, Lester Fisher Jr., New Port Richey, Fla., and William Fisher, Clarksville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Walter Fisher.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., Kokomo. Dr. Mike Holloway will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
