Howard Graves Jr., 80, Carmel, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was born Oct. 10, 1932, in Pulaski, Tenn., to the late J. Howard Sr. and Bessie Campbell Graves.
Howard served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a signal corps operator and was employed with Indiana Bell as a construction supervisor. He was a member of the VFW in Carmel, Carmel Masonic Lodge 421 F & AM, and the Murat Shrine Club.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Shirley Brothers Fishers Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, with funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Howard is survived by his sons, Dr. Mike (Barb) and Dr. Jeff (Linda) Graves; grandchildren, Nicola Clark (Andrew), Ben, Josh, Rachel, Jacob, and Wyatt Graves; sister, Martha June Strock; and brother, Clyde Elmer Graves.
Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Graves; brother, Robert Glen Graves; and sister, Mildred Mitchell.
