Floyd Leon Langley, 65, Kokomo, passed away at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital on 86th Street in Indianapolis. He was born Aug. 17, 1948, in Kokomo. He was the son of Floyd E. Langley and Barbara Smoot.
He worked at Caseville Street Department in Illinois He was a Vietnam veteran in the Army from 1967 to 1969. Floyd was a Caseville fireman and EMT, was head of Superior Ambulance Services in Caseville and a private detective for Hyeil Investigation. He was also a state director for Collinsville Jay Cees. Most of all, he was a father to all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Smoot; his son, Daniel Langley (Samantha White); his daughter, Leah M. Langley (Doug F. Butler); three brothers, David Langley (Sherrie), Mark Langley (Tina) and Tab Langley; two sisters, Brenda Harrington and Teresa Wade; one grandchild, Hyrizian Gilmore; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Floyd will be at a later date in Illinois.
