Ryan Anthony Teter, 32, Tipton, passed away at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Tipton County, as the result of an auto accident.

He was born July 22, 1981, in Kokomo, to Ron and Carolyn “Jody” (Gerber) Teter.

Ryan was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, attending church faithfully while growing up. He studied all faiths including Buddhism and the St. James Bible. Ryan loved to read and study history of all kinds.

He attended Indiana University Kokomo and wanted to finish his degree. He loved writing, jewelry making, skateboarding, traveling, animals, music and the Simpsons. However, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and helping others.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Basil Omar Teter, Edna Mabel (Adams) Teter, Joseph James Gerber and Garland Virginia (Chaudion) Gerber and one beloved cousin, Wesley Aaron Brannum.

A funeral service for Ryan will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, with Pastor Kurt Gremel presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial and graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Cemetery, Tipton.

Memorial donations in Ryan’s honor may be made to the Kokomo Rescue Mission, 321 W. Mulberry Street, Kokomo, Indiana, 46901, to help those in need who Ryan had such a compassion for.

Ryan was greatly loved by his family, and his loving, giving nature will be missed greatly.
