Helen L. Fisher, 67, Kokomo, passed away on Sept. 28, 2013, at her residence. She was born on Feb. 7, 1946, in Muncie, the daughter of James R. Bruce and Sarah L. Hosley Bruce.
She was a clerk for Delco Electronics, retiring after 34 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also on the Helping Hands Ministry, Nurses Committee, a previous NAACP member, A. Phillip Randolph, UAW Local 292, Black Expo, Order of Eastern Star and the CAAP Council. She was an avid softball player and pianist.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy V. Fisher; daughters, Nikia L. Lee, Stacy L. Story, and Latisha M. Story; stepdaughter, Brandalyn Fisher; stepson, Christopher Todd Fisher; brother, David W. Bruce (Elaine), Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Dorothy E. Joseph (Jim), and Felisa A. Davidson (Jerome), Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Services will be held noon Friday at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Lonnie E. Anderson officiating. Friends may call at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery.
