Wanda Lee Rayls, 82, Kokomo, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. Wanda was born on Aug. 13, 1930, in Advance, Mo., to the late Rosewell and Mona (Sitze) Bess. She was married to Archie Rayls, who preceded her in death.
Wanda worked at Cuneo Press in Kokomo as a special inspector. She enjoyed sewing and watching birds and squirrels outside her window. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors are her children, Diana (Walter) Harper, Kokomo, Sarah (Fred) Morgan, Kokomo, and Mike Rayls, Kokomo; grandchildren, Dustina (JR) Evans, Bridget (Rom) Powell, Lawanda (Bobby) Young, Dusteena (Freddy) Morgan, Mindy Harper, and Cody (Erin) Rayls; several great-grandkids; two sisters; and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter; and ten siblings.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Cindy Lundin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions in Wanda’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary. Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
