Thanks for supporting Haven
Robert Croll, president of the Friends of Howard Haven, sends this Cheer:
“Friends of Howard Haven wish to thank Cathy and Charles Kirkman, Barney Ressler and the Midnight Riders Club for their generous donation in support of our efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for the residents of Howard Haven Residential Care Center. We truly appreciate their support and wish them continued success in their endeavors to give back to the Howard County community.
“Friends of Howard Haven also wish to thank the community for its continued support in our aluminum can recycling project. Your generosity allows us to finance the medicinal co-pays of the residents of Howard Haven.
“For more information on how to become a member of Friends of Howard Haven, or how to donate to it, please contact Bob Croll, 453-2979, or Jennifer Vary, 452-4552.”
Eatery is a community partner
Jenny Tudor sends this Cheer:
“Hello. This is just to thank a local business for its activities in the community. I would like to thank the Windmill Grill for sponsoring the fall festival a few weeks ago.
“I would really like to thank them for their prizes that included gift certificates to their restaurant. I would also like to encourage everyone to go there and eat.
“Also, Tom Trine needs to get some credit for having ‘customers of the day’ on Mondays, and if you are selected when you go to pay your bill, you are told the meal is on Windmill Grill.
“Also, I have to say that their pork chops are delicious. So if you have never eaten there, I encourage you to do so. And maybe if you go on Monday, you will be customer of the day. And even if you are not, you will enjoy an excellent meal and great service.
“I was very pleased when I was the customer of the day and would like to encourage all to support this local business.”
