Kempton Fire Dept. serves 115 breakfast
Stan Jones of the Kempton Fire Department sends this Cheer:
“The Kempton Fire Department would like to thank all who attended our breakfast April 12. We served about 115 people, including most of those running for office in the upcoming elections.
“Lots of old friends and new shared stories and enjoyed pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and hash browns.
“We will put the money to good use buying equipment for one of the trucks. Again, we thank you for your support and generous donations.”
Jefferson St. in need of repair
Darlene A. Krieger of Kokomo sends this Jeer for road conditions on Kokomo’s Jefferson Street:
“I am wondering how a city that is trying to make itself beautiful and enticing to new people and businesses can have a major east/west city street in the condition Jefferson Street is? The street itself is terrible, but the railroad crossing by Rudae’s Beauty Salon is deplorable.
