“We certainly appreciate the special attention that Dr. Ratcliff Jones did in providing counseling and advice to so many, along with sharing information on kidney disease and organ donation.
“Special thanks to our board members Joan Peterson, Sherry Rahl and David Hale in spending time on a Saturday morning to assist with the health screenings. There were so many representing various organizations along with employees of the Howard County Health Department, Community Howard Regional Health, Indiana University Kokomo and many other volunteers. It is important to note that their in-kind contribution is greatly appreciated along with the staffs of Hair Affair, Hair Experience and Davis Barber/Beauty Shops, as they encouraged customers to be screened.
“The following volunteers should be commended for the time devoted on Saturday morning to help in making this a successful health event: Valerie Johnson, Kristianna Upchurch, Amber Stroman, Sylvia Jones, Scott Niles, Bruce Shaw, Rebekah Martin, Trevor Martin, Cathy Shaw and little Jaylen Stroman. Your time and contributions are the key factors that continue to make the Minority Health Alliance continue to be a health force in Howard County.
“We had great sponsors that included Community Howard Regional Health, Family Services Association, Telamon, Kokomo Chapter IBE, Howard County Health Department, American Cancer Society, St. Joseph Hospital, Project Access, Breath Easy and Carver Community Center.
“Again thanks for all that you do.”
