Marion woman reports rape
Kokomo police are investigating a possible rape which may have occurred Sunday evening on the near-south side of Kokomo.
Police said a 21-year-old Marion woman filed a report just after 6 p.m. Sunday, saying she’d been raped by an acquaintance earlier in the afternoon. Investigators say they’ve identified the residence where the incident was reported to have taken place, and have also identified a suspect.
No one had been arrested in the case as of Monday evening.
The woman was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.

Saturday, 7:26 p.m., police arrested James A. McGee, 41, 3000 block of Whitehouse Drive, in the 800 block of East Hoffer Street on a petition to revoke suspended sentence for non-support of a child, a class D felony.
Saturday, 10:34 p.m., police arrested Deon Schofield Taylor, 27, 600 block of West Spraker Street, at Washington and North streets, on a charge of operating while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor.
Sunday, 12:29 a.m., police arrested a 17-year-old boy in the 900 block of East Broadway Street, on a charge of battery, a class B misdemeanor.
Sunday, 1:35 a.m., police arrested Amos Morgan, 31, 500 block of Bradford Circle, at Buckeye and Walnut streets, on a charge of operating while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor.
Sunday, 2:50 a.m., police arrested Pearl J. Perkins Jr., 43, 1400 block of Belvedere Drive at the Howard County Sheriff Department, on a charge of operating while intoxicated, a class C misdemeanor, and a body attachment.
Sunday, 8:25 a.m., police arrested a 15-year-old boy in the 2300 block of North Purdum Street on charges of incorrigibility and mischief.
Sunday, 10:05 a.m., police arrested a 15-year-old boy in the 100 block of South Union Street on a charge of mischief, a class D felony.
Sunday, 10:21 a.m., police arrested Zontini Link, 50, 1700 block of South Washington Street, at Main and Harrison streets, on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended with priors.
Sunday, 2:38 p.m., police arrested a 14-year-old female, in the 300 west block of 300 North, on a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge.
Sunday, 5:34 p.m., police arrested a 15-year-old male, in the 1800 block of North Washington Street, as a runaway.
Sunday, 5:39 p.m., police arrested a 15-year-old male, in the 2500 block of North Apperson Way, as a runaway.
Sunday, 8:59 p.m., police arrested Kareen Dunn, 18, 800 block of East Hoffer Street, at Jay and Madison streets, on warrants for a Class B felony robbery charge, and a Class D felony criminal recklessness charge.
Sunday, 11:09 p.m., police arrested Monte C. Gibson, 39, Indianapolis, at Lincoln Road and U.S. 31, on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Monday, 1:05 a.m., police arrested James G. Miles, 20, 300 block of West Chandler Street, Russiaville, in the 900 block of West Jefferson Street, on a misdemeanor charge of illegal consumption of alcohol, and a Class D felony theft charge.
