Students OK after school bus crash

Kokomo Police Maj. Brian Seldon said no students were injured early Monday when a Kokomo-Center school bus collided with a car on the city’s north side.

The bus had two students on board about 7:32 a.m. when a sedan driven by Jason McKibben, 30, Kokomo, failed to stop at the intersection of Apperson and North Street. McKibben, who was headed eastbound on North, said he tried to stop but his car slid on the icy surface, into the path of the oncoming bus. Police said the bus driver had the green light at the intersection.

No one on the bus was injured, while McKibben was treated at the scene for a minor wrist injury.
