Howard County

Arrests

Wednesday, 1:20 p.m., police arrested Shaquille A. Beard, 21, 1800 block of South Goyer Road, at Walmart, 1920 E. Markland Ave., on a charge of theft.

Wednesday, 3:30 p.m., police arrested Alisia A. Meranda, 25, Sharpsville, in the 1300 block of South Plate Street, on charges of carrying a handgun without a permit and unlawful possession of a syringe.

Wednesday, 6:02 p.m., police arrested Michael R. Gonzales, 25, 3000 block of Vinton Circle, in the 400 block of North Market Street, on a warrant for failure to appear.

Wednesday, 6:35 p.m., police arrested Larry S. Trent, 39, 700 south block of 300 West, at Defenbaugh and Ginny Drive, on a charge of domestic battery.

Wednesday, 7:33 p.m., police arrested Joshua P. Kopeschka, 32, 200 block of West Boulevard, in the 1800 block of South Purdum Street, on a warrant for failure to appear.

Wednesday, 11:58 p.m., police arrested Brett T. Sears, 44, homeless, at Community Howard Regional Health, 3500 S. LaFountain St., on warrants for two counts of failure to appear and one count of petition to revoke.

Thursday, 2:30 a.m., police arrested a 14-year-old male in the 300 block of West Monroe Street on a charge of runaway.

Thefts

Tuesday, 3:28 p.m., the theft of a 37-inch Samsung TV, a Nook tablet, a Samsung tablet and 40 DVD movies totaling $1,650 was reported from the 2900 block of Heritage Drive.

Wednesday, 1:13 p.m., the theft of a iPhone 5S valued at $800 was reported from the 1200 block of West Taylor Street.

Wednesday, 11:01 p.m., the theft of a laptop computer, a Wii and games and an iPad totaling $900 was reported during a burglary in the 1400 block of West Jefferson Street.

Tipton County

Friday, 11:42 p.m., Sharpsville police arrested Dontay K. Benson, 20, 100 block of West State Street, Kokomo, on a charge of false informing.

Saturday, 10:02 a.m., deputies arrested Vincent D. Quarles, 27, 400 block of North Market Street, Kokomo, on charges of driving while suspended and possession of marijuana.

Saturday, 1:43 a.m., police arrested Timothy A. Waller, 27, Muncie, on a charge of unlawful possession of a syringe.

Sunday, 10:37 p.m., Windfall police arrested Jordan A. Lee, 21, 500 block of West Main Street, Windfall, on a charge of unlawful possession of a syringe.
