A man police say exposed himself to a pair of young girls in August faces two felony charges of indecent exposure.
Howard County sheriff deputies arrested Donald L. Young, 32, 600 block of Southlea Drive, last week on a felony warrant stemming from the Aug. 16 allegations. He was released the same day after posting $1,000, 10 percent of the $10,000 bail. He is set to appear Dec. 3 in Howard Superior Court 2 for his initial hearing. If convicted, he could serve up to three years each on the D felonies.
According to Kokomo police, the alleged incident occurred near Wildcat Creek behind the Grotto on U.S. 31. The charges allege Young exposed himself to two 9-year-old females, who were near the creek skipping rocks.
The girls reported the incident to their parents who in turn called police. Kokomo police conducted the investigation and interviewed Young, who denied the allegations. Police said he admitted to being near the creek, but said he was adjusting his shorts and wasn’t exposing himself to anyone.
