IHSAA sets sectional pairings for boys hoops

Pairings for the IHSAA’s 104th-annual boys basketball state tournament were unveiled Sunday. In all, 403 teams are entered into the four-class tournament this season.

Sectional play is set to begin Tuesday, March 4 and run through Saturday, March 8. The regional round will follow a week later on March 15, with semistates following on March 22.

The four state championship games are slated to be played on Saturday, March 29 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The following are pairings for sectionals involving KT-area teams.

CLASS 4A AT KOKOMO

Game 1: Logansport (10-6) vs. Marion (15-4)

G2: Lafayette Jeff (5-15) vs. Harrison (5-14)

G3: Kokomo (12-7) vs. G1 winner

G4: McCutcheon (14-5) vs. G2 winner

G5: Championship

CLASS 3A AT TWIN LAKES

G1: Twin Lakes (12-6) vs. Maconaquah (4-12)

The final week of the boys basketball regular season brings a heavy slate of games, with makeup games mixed in with regularly scheduled games.
