TRENT: Bowling is chance to relax

(Continued)

Jeremy is starting this Bowl-a-Thon with hopes that it will fund scholarship money for scouts who need help to go to scout summer within the state. Mr. Anderson was always for helpful in getting scouts to camp and Jeremy would like to see it continue.

This tournament is $20 for three games and shoes. Check-in time is 11 a.m. and bowling starts at 11:30 a.m. You need to sign up at scout headquarters at 518 N. Main, call 765-452-8253 or call Jeremy at 765-868-3034.

Let’s support this tournament and send scouts to summer camp!

The 9 Pin No Tap and auction benefit for Dawn (Hobbs) Burns is Jan. 26, from 2-5 p.m. Dawn had a double lung transplant and from what I was told, has just been removed from ICU after several weeks. That is wonderful but I am sure with the classes that I have gone through for transplant there are many expenses and many more trips to make.

So please come out and support this benefit for Dawn. It’s $20 and reservation by Jan. 19 would be greatly appreciated. Walk-ins will be welcomed with lane availability. Questions should be directed to Jenifer Workman at 765-480-5328.

• Jacob Brown, a 14-year-old youth league bowler from Kokomo Sport Bowl, was bowling TKO on Nov. 17 at the Rose Bowl in New Castle and rolled a perfect game of 300. This young man has been bowling since he could pick up a ball. He also plays baseball and used to swim in middle school but has really dedicated his life to bowling.
