Shurn scores 1,000th point in USF victory

FORT WAYNE — Former Kokomo standout Skylarr Shurn scored 15 points to help the unbeaten University of Saint Francis women’s basketball team roll over Bethel College 76-44 Wednesday night and in the process, hit her milestone 1,000th point.

Shurn reached 1,000 with a 3-pointer in the first half. She now stands as one of 20 women to score in quadruple digits for USF with a career total of 1,011 points for the Cougars.
