Kokomo, Cass set regional ticket plans

Kokomo and Lewis Cass on Monday announced plans for the sale of boys basketball regional tickets.

Kokomo is set to play in the Class 4A Marion Regional on Saturday. Kokomo will have all-session tickets on sale in the athletic department from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday and from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday. The tickets are priced at $10. Single-session tickets, priced at $7, will only be available at the door Saturday.

Cass is heading to the Class 2A Lapel Regional on Saturday. Lapel’s gym seats 3,051 and the host school is expecting a sellout.

Cass will have tickets on sale in its athletic department beginning today. Tickets can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. There is a 10-ticket limit for adults and a one-ticket limit for students.

Peru board approves move to Three Rivers

PERU — The Peru Community Schools’ board of school trustees on Monday voted to leave the Mid-Indiana Conference following the 2014-15 season in favor of the Three Rivers Conference, according to the Peru Tribune. The approval is contingent on Maconaquah’s board voting the same.

Maconaquah’s board will hold a public work session to discuss its conference options at 6 p.m. today in its high school cafeteria. Maconaquah’s board will vote on the issue at a later date.

2 Western wrestlers garner state titles

INDIANAPOLIS — Western had a pair of youth wrestlers win titles at the Indiana State Wrestling Association’s Kids Folkstyle State Finals over the weekend at Ben Davis High School.

Hunter Cottingham won the novice division’s 90-pound weight class and Donavan Shepherd won the novice’s division 130-pound class. Both posted 3-0 records.
