Taylor volleyball falls in sectional action

ALEXANDRIA — Elwood beat Taylor 25-10, 25-4, 25-7 Tuesday in the Class 2A Alexandria Sectional opener. Valary Farmer served six points for Taylor. Ashleigh Till offered three block kills.

“It was a tough night. Definitely not the way we wanted to end our season,” Taylor coach Denise Leicht said. “... I have some disappointed girls in the locker room, especially the seniors. They provided good leadership all year and we just wanted to end on a good note. We are building and we are still pretty young so we will keep working on the skills but we have to get mentally tougher — that’s a must.”
