KPRD completes disc golf course redesign

The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department on Monday announced it has completed the redesign of Highland Park’s disc golf course.

Disc golf is played with much the same rules as regular golf, with players on a nine- or 18-hole course attempting to toss their discs into the “holes” or baskets, in the fewest number of throws. It also is known as frisbee golf.

In addition to the course redesign, nine additional tee pads were installed. Signs were added with course maps including directions to the holes and rules of the game. Additional trees soon will be planted in strategic locations to make the course more challenging.

Check the Parks and Rec page of the City of Kokomo website at www.cityofkokomo.org to view a map of the course. Questions should be directed to the KPRD office at 765-456-7275.
