Western (8-3) overcame an uneven offensive performance to claim the road win.
“I think it was our defensive effort that held us in the game and got us the win,” Western coach Nicole Jackson said, pointing to Cheyenne Rayl, Emily Hawkins and Abby Renken as the defensive sparks.
Western ‘keeper Cybil Johnson finished with a dozen saves. Bre Buckalew put the Panthers on the board with a first-half goal and Abby Webster, Sarah Connolly and Jenna Seaman added second-half goals.
Seaman and Connolly finished with an assist apiece.

The Blue Devils scored with about 14 minutes remaining and kept the Titans at bay the rest of the way.
Taylor ‘keeper Lydia Owens finished with 12 saves. Kaitlyn Good and McKenna Deckard offered solid defensive work.
“We had a good defensive effort,” Taylor coach John Piotrowicz said, noting the Titans were unable to generate any offense. “They wore us down with their good passing. They’re a good team. We fought well, but came up short.”

Eastern dropped to 9-2.
