INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Pacers trimmed their summer league roster Friday, cutting four players and losing a fifth to another team.

Indiana announced it had released guards Austin Freeman, Steven Gray and Travis Releford. The Pacers also cut forward Ron Howard.

Forward-center Chris Daniels left camp to join another team, and to replace his spot on the roster, Indiana signed 6-foot-4 guard Andrew Sharpless from Elizabeth City State.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Free agent forward Josh McRoberts has agreed to a two-year, $5.5 million deal to remain with the Charlotte Bobcats, said a person familiar with the situation.

The person spoke to The Associated Press Friday on condition of anonymity because the deal has not yet been made official. Free agent signings cannot be announced until July 10, according to NBA rules.

The person said the second year of the deal includes a player option.

Indiana native and former Pacer McRoberts outperformed expectations last season after being acquired from the Orlando Magic.

McRoberts wound up starting 19 games and averaged 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in 26 total contests for Charlotte. He also shot a career-best 50.5 percent from the field.

Every takes lead,Lefty misses cut

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) — Matt Every shot an 8-under 62 on Friday for a one-stroke lead over five other players midway through the Greenbrier Classic.

Every needed just 26 putts during his best round of the year and is at 9 under for the tournament on the Old White TPC course

One stroke behind him at 8 under are Russell Henley (65), Bill Lunde (66), Daniel Summerhays (67), Steven Bowditch (67) and first-round co-leader Johnson Wagner (70).

Because 81 players made the cut Friday at 1 under, there will be a 54-hole cut to get to the top 70 scores, plus ties. Phil Mickelson is already assured of getting the weekend off. He shot 68 on Friday and finished at 2 over.

It was easy to tell as a red rash covered her arms and her face was painfully swollen. She is one of those people who loves being outdoors yet highly allergic to the common plant. Sometimes I believe she can get the rash by simply looking at the noxious weed.
