Kevin Green hit a hole in one on American Legion Golf Course’s No. 10 hole on Tuesday. Green used a 5-iron to drive it 185 yards, carding his fifth hole in one.
Nick Comerford, Dave Fewell and Dan “Pork” Wright Sr. were witnesses.
Banush hits hole in one at Elks CC
ROCHESTER — Former Kokomo resident Rick Banush hit his first ever hole in one while playing at Elk’s Country Club’s No. 3 hole on Sunday. Banush used a 6-iron to drive it 175 yards on the par-3 hole.
Witnesses were Bill Vance, Ed Provost, Ron Bryant and Stu Youngstrom.
Chamber of Commerce plans golf outing
The Greater Kokomo Chamber of Commerce will hold its Ambassador Golf Outing on Aug. 15 at Wildcat Creek G.C. Registration will open at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start to follow at 12:30 p.m.
The entry fee for those who register by Aug. 9 is $125 per person. Thereafter, the entry fee is $150. This includes golf, cart, beverages (water, soft drinks and beer), door prizes and dinner at 5:30 p.m. The top three teams will receive prizes. There also will be prizes for hole in one, longest drive, closest to the pin and “most fun” team.

Church schedules Aug. 24 golf outing
The third-annual Paul Fausett Memorial Golf Scramble is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Chippendale G.C. Lunch and registration are at noon and tee time is at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $50 per person or $200 per team and covers 18 holes of golf, cart, food, fun and prizes. Proceeds will support the Brookside Free Methodist Church’s missions scholarship fund and other areas of need.
Those interested in playing may either register the day of the scramble or pre-register online at www.brooksidefmc.org (click on the golf tab). Registration forms also are available at the church, which is located at 190 East 400 South (S.R. 26) in Kokomo.
