Improved US 25 near Logansport almost ready

LOGANSPORT (AP) — Portions of the new State Road 25/Hoosier Heartland highway between Logansport and Delphi is getting ready to open.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says the highway will open in phases between Sept. 15 and late October. One section has already opened between Lafayette and Delphi.

The new State Road 25 will be a 35-mile, four-lane, limited access divided highway connecting to U.S. 24 at Logansport. The roads will provide safer travel from Lafayette to Fort Wayne, where it will link up with the U.S. 24 segment known as the Fort-to-Port corridor.
