OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (AP) — A southwestern Indiana teacher has been arrested on a child seduction charge for allegedly sending a student inappropriate text messages.
State Police arrested 32-year-old Kyle F. Scott without incident Tuesday afternoon at his Newburgh home. Scott had been held at the Gibson County Jail on bail set at $10,000 but he has apparently posted bond.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports State Police say Scott sent inappropriate text messages, including at least one photo and video, to a high school student in December. Police say Scott is also accused of fondling the student on at least one occasion.
He's a teacher at Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, where records show he holds a valid state teaching license allowing him to teach French.
