2 employees of Ind. drug court suspended

---- — JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Two employees with a southern Indiana county's drug-treatment court have been suspended from their duties amid an investigation into the program's operations.

Clark County's three commissioners tell the News and Tribune they have been told only "unofficially" of the two suspensions that put the two employees of the Clark County Drug Treatment Court on unpaid leave. The employees' names have not been disclosed.

A private investigation into drug court personnel was ordered in recent months by Clark County Circuit Court Judge Vicki Carmichael. She says she hired a private investigator at the request of fellow Circuit Court Judge Jerry Jacobi, whose court oversees the drug-treatment program.

Carmichael declined to release the findings of that investigation, saying it was a personnel matter.
