Workers vacate flood-damaged S. Ind. town hall

Ellettsville — All workers have moved from a southern Indiana community's town hall after it was badly damaged by flooding last month.

Ellettsville Town Council President Scott Oldham says offices such as the clerk-treasurer and utilities department will remain in a former elementary school while decisions are made about repairing the Town Hall.

Oldham tells The Herald-Times that town leaders aren't in a rush to salvage Town Hall or move on and use the building for another purpose.

The former bank building in the town about 5 miles northwest of Bloomington was damaged in flash flooding from heavy rains on Dec. 21-22.
