Missing teen's SUV found with body in Fishers lake

FISHERS (AP) — Police say the SUV belonging to a missing 18-year-old woman has been found in a suburban Indianapolis lake with a body inside it.

Fishers police didn't immediately confirm that the body is that of Peyton Riekhof, but state police have canceled a statewide alert seeking help in finding her.

Fisher police spokesman Tom Weger says a person spotted tire tracks going through a neighborhood lot into Geist Reservoir on Sunday. Divers later found Riekhof's SUV in about 8 feet of water.

Police say the recent Hamilton Southeastern High School graduate was last seen about 3 a.m. Thursday when she stormed from a friend's nearby home. Several hundred friends and family members attended a vigil for Riekhof on Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fishers.
