INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An Indianapolis police officer suspended since a fatal 2010 collision is scheduled to appear in court on drunken driving charges following a weekend crash.

David Bisard is to appear for an initial hearing Wednesday in a Marion County court.

He has been jailed since his arrest Saturday afternoon after of the pickup truck he was driving ran off a northeastern Indianapolis street. Prosecutors have charged him with misdemeanor counts of drunken driving, saying he had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit to drive.

Prosecutors are seeking to have his bond revoked on pending reckless homicide and other charges from the 2010 crash in which his squad car plowed into two stopped motorcycles, killing one person and injuring two others.
