WAYNESVILLE (AP) — Police have remained at the southern Indiana home where four people were found shot to death over the weekend.
A Bartholomew County sheriff's dispatcher said early Monday that she had no new information available about the investigation into the deaths of three men and a woman that were discovered Saturday night in the in the community of Waynesville. Television news reports show a sheriff's squad car stationed outside the small house still surrounded by crime tape.
Authorities say those killed included residents 53-year-old Katheryn Burton and her boyfriend, 39-year-old Thomas Smith. Also killed were two 41-yearold Columbus men who were friends of the couple, Aaron Cross and Shawn Burton.
Sheriff Mark Gorbett on Sunday didn't release any possible motive for the shootings or whether investigators had any suspects.
