WGU offering $100k in scholarships for adults

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Western Governors University Indiana is offering $100,000 to working adults looking to complete a college degree.

The online university announced plans to offer $2,000 scholarships to 50 applicants. To win a scholarship, the applicant must have completed some college credits and be pursuing either a bachelor's or master's degree.

WGU Indiana Chancellor Allison Barber says the scholarships will help in "breaking down barriers to degree attainment."

The deadline to apply is July 1.
